Kerbisher and Malt is a new, modern take on the classic British fish and chippy, owned by partners Nick Crossley and Saul Reuben - Saul trained at the OXO Tower and Racine, and it shows. All fish is fresh and from sustainable sources - battered, in matzo (a lighter batter) or just plain grilled with a squeeze of lemon. Twice-cooked chunky chips, mushy peas and delicious salads such as fennel and dill or crispy calamari and whitebait add to the experience. “I almost want to write a love poem to their chips” - Zoe Williams, Sunday Telegraph.
The name Kerbisher comes from an old fishing boat - Nick's grandfather was a herring fisherman in Norfolk. Malt should be more obvious. |
