The
make-or-buy decision is a fundamental dilemma.
Buy, out-source, subcontract or make in-house?
For many product & component manufacturing
companies, increased global competition and subsequent
lower costs have helped make out-sourcing and
subcontracting a viable and cost-effective solution
for their production output.
Buying, out-sourcing
or subcontracting also means that they don't
have to worry about, nor fund, the hugely expensive
in-house human, technological and hardware resources
required in the manufacture of electro-mechanical
engineering, press tools, mould tools, toolmaking,
plastic injection moulding, custom and din rail
assembly etc.
Based in the UK, HBC
are well placed to supply all your electro-mechanical
outsourcing for plastic and formed metal components,
parts manufacture, design and assembly needs.
With over 40 years of experience (formerly as
Weidmuller before a management buyout renamed
the UK organisation HBC Engineering Solutions
Ltd.), we have in place several million pounds
worth of tooling, press tool, mould tool, electro-mechanical
injection moulding, electroplating, analysis
and testing equipment as well as hundreds of
thousands of pounds worth of technological software,
systems and know-how to satisfy huge potential
demand from the global marketplace.
If you are looking to outsource, subcontract
or buy services, we would welcome your enquiry.
Moreover, we invite you to visit us for a guided
tour of our 75,000 square foot complex in Sheerness,
Kent. It will only be then that the vast potential
of HBC, as a potential supplier, will be fully
grasped. There is no obligation nor any hard-sell
involved and we think that you will be amazed
by what we are capable of supplying and producing.
We recently had an enquiry from an automotive
components manufacturer. When we quoted, they
rang us back to check that we had our figures
correct (our prices were a fraction of the nearest
competitor). We double-checked our figures and
no mistake had been made.
So how can we do this?
Well, for 40 years, we worked solely for Weidmuller
until our management buyout in 2003 and, of
course, over those many years we built up a
huge manufacturing facility with state-of-the-art
facilities and technology as well as top engineers,
designers, toolmakers and craftsmen. The buyout
meant that we no longer needed to work only
for Weidmuller (although we still have a five
year contract with them) and that we could go
to the global marketplace with our skills, services
and facilities. Those clients coming on board
at this early stage have been completely satisfied
by our professionalism and speed.
So how does that affect you?
It means that you would get all the service,
technological back-up and know-how at a price
that we believe will be the lowest available
in the UK. We already have all the equipment
in place (much of it installed by the original
Weidmuller company and therefore already bought
and paid for). We also have all the knowledge,
systems and software available for huge volume
demand. Many fixed assets came with the 2003
company buyout although we have also added to
this over the last year or so, for instance
with the implementation of some very impressive
robotic assembly stations. You will simply not
find a more cost-effective and professional
enterprise to outsource to.
HBC is fast-moving, robust and highly adaptable.
It's business culture is founded on technology,
processes and a structure which facilitate rapid
response and adaptation in an incredibly co-ordinated
way, making it a highly competitive and dynamic
enterprise.
